Izabella Scott will be in conversation with academic Taushif Kara about her new book Pleasure Gardens: Blackouts and the Logic of Crisis in Kashmir. Co-authored with Skye Arundhati Thomas, Pleasure Gardens seeks a new register of writing and image to investigate military occupation, land appropriation, and communication blackouts in Kashmir, a region whose heavily militarised borders have been a site of conflict between India and Pakistan.
